No visit to Savannah is complete without a sightseeing tour by horse-drawn carriage. Let the gentle “clip-clop” of horses, and sway of the carriage, transport you to Savannah’s colorful past with one of our entertaining and informative tours. Carriage Tours of Savannah was the city’s first carriage tour company, and has been featured in magazines, guide books and videos for over 30 years. Read our most recent mention in The New York Times travel section as one of two great ways recommended to tour Savannah. Our 50-minute narrated tours depart from the Gazebo in the center of City Market, at Jefferson and West St. Julian Street.
We offer a wonderful Historic overview of the City during the day, which you may enjoy on a public carriage, or take a private tour with just your favorite people on board. At night we offer Ghost story tours as well. We will tell you why Savannah is said to be one of the most haunted cities in America. Click on our History/Ghost tours tab for more information.
All of us here at Carriage Tours of Savannah enjoy making customer service our main focus. If you need help making special arrangements, or would just like some local input about restaurants or museums to enjoy in addition to your carriage ride, give us a call. We’re happy to take the extra time with you and show you what true “Southern Hospitality” is.
January 4th – March 3rd we will not offer tours Monday – Thursday. We will be open on Friday and Saturday from 9am – 9pm and on Sundays from 9am to 5pm. Beginning March 7th, we will resume our normal tour schedule, open 7 days.
We would LOVE the chance to win your business, so if online booking isn’t your thing, give us a ring and we’ll make arrangements for you the old fashioned way! With a human being!
(Besides, we’re really nice and way more fun than “talking” to a computer)!
